We’re also committed to fueling a sustainable future by expanding our portfolio into the Thermal, Wind and Solar sectors. The Lignite sourced from our own mines contribute to a sizeable generation of thermal power in the state.
Towards generating power from renewable sources of energy, GMDC initiated a first-of-its-kind 5 MW Solar Power Project in 2011. It was installed on the reclaimed mined-out land of Panandhro Lignite mine in Kutch.
